Natural. My favorite word! Natural scares most people. People tend to believe a shampoo and body wash created in a laboratory work better than something natural that one can freely pick out of their own backyard! What a bunch of bologna! Soapwort works exactly as shampoo and body wash would, and BONUS it is free of the chemicals and fragrances found in cleansers today. See below how to make soapwort shampoo and body wash.

What is soapwort?

Soapwort is a beautiful, flowering plant native to Eurasia. However, soapwort has been naturalized into most of North America. Presently, it grows almost everywhere and is considered rather invasive! You’ll find it happily growing in disturbed areas, such as roadsides.

According to the NIH (National Institute of Health), soapwort contains saponins (the stuff that makes soapwort work) that have anti-cancerous properties and are actually of high interest for tumor therapies! Sounds pretty darn good to me!

How to make soap from soapwort

If I say making soapwort shampoo and soapwort body wash is as easy as snip, boil, and strain would you believe me? Because it really is that easy. Soapwort “soap” requires little effort on your part.
