Howdy! I’m Rachel – a full-time mom and homemaker. While it isn’t the flashiest career choice, I love staying home with my mini-me. She’s my daily inspiration! I currently call Chicago my home, although it’s not my forever, I make the best out of what I’m given. My blog was created (mainly to keep myself sane) but also to inspire others to branch out and try new things.
My Backstory
I was born in Florida, raised in Alabama, and currently residing in Illinois – Chicago to be exact! I moved here to focus on pursuing my interest in the Cinematic Arts. My dream was big – but my fears were bigger. Unable to afford the steep cost of tuition and expenses, I chose to settle on a simpler, more attainable career – Hospitality!
Soon enough, I had a mini-me on the way and decided to make a career change to homemaker. As it turns out, SAHM’s do ALL the work but get paid very poorly. With no income and a hefty amount of free time, I decided to start my blog – Wanderlust Rachel. And the rest is history!
